Freelance Whales – Twitter Video Goes Viral

In 2008/9 Jeremy Sklarsky produced the Freelance Whales debut album “Weathervanes” record at Threshold Studios. Twitter got a hold of the record and used the opening track in a video to promote the new twitter platform. A few days later, the clip had over 2 million views. They’ve also had songs on “Grey’s Anatomy,” HBO’s “Bored To Death,” “Chuck,” and “Ugly Betty.” It goes to show you what kind of licensing opportunities and exposure can be available to the right band with quality production.
